Description

If they are fortunate enough to attend our labs in person, they will feel like the lab has moved home =D

How is it different?

The STEAMwhiz Pi Innovation PC combines customized hardware & software specifically for kids, with Ergonomics for their bodies & a user interface for their abilities. At the center, it’s powered by a Raspberry Pi 4B 8GB which provides the bridge between the physical &  virtual world. Unlike a chromebook or normal desktop/laptop computer, the STEAMwhiz Pi Innovation PC provides General Purpose Input Ouput (GPIO) Pins which goes beyond by sensing the outside world (input), processing the gathered data (code), and then doing something (output) like build a robot or automate watering a plant!

Is it a Computer?

Yes! It can browse the internet, be used to write up homework assignments in a word document, create excel sheets, code programs in python, and so much more. It can also be used for entertainment to play games like Minecraft! 

Deeper Learning

We will be launching our STEAMwhiz App in 1-2 months where students will get access to immersive & fun content. The STEAMwhiz Pi Innovation PC will be the heart of the STEAMwhiz App workflow where they are they can expand their knowledge, curiosity, and abilities in Science Technology Engineering Art Math Robotics Coding and so much more using the STEAMwhiz Pi Innovation PC!

Delivery ETA

As you may be aware, we are in a global semiconductor chip shortage due to COVID19. The CEO of the Raspberry Pi foundation estimates a backlog reaching into the summer of 2023. We are doing our best to source the Raspberry Pi and offer two prices based on their availability.

  • Non-Expedited builds ETA 1-2 months out due to the backlog. We will prioritize cost savings by preordering the Raspberry Pi. Please note that we will be at the mercy of the merchant’s supply in this case hence the long lead times which are subject to change. If you have any questions send us a msg and we can provide more details.
  • Expedited builds ETA 2-4 weeks out due to backlog. We will source the Raspberry Pi from major retailers like Amazon to prioritize the delivery date over the price. Don’t hesitate to msg us if you have any questions.

STEAMwhiz Pi Box is self-contained. All you need is to hook up your own keyboard, mouse, and monitor. NOTE: you will need to supply your own HDMI cable as it is not included.
