Description
The STEAMwhiz Academy offers one-on-one Science Technology Engineering Art Math, project-based learning (PBL) sessions in our Guilderland Lab HQ that are tailored to meet the needs and learning goals of your child.
1-on-1 classes were created to:
- Accommodate family schedules
- Focus on particular developmental skills
- Help parents nurture their advanced student(s) development
- Foster a mentor-student relationship with a master STEAM teacher
- Create advanced students in the fields of STEM/STEAM
- Cultivate problem solving, analytical thinking, critical thinking, and creativity
We recommend 1.5 hr daily sessions. It can be overwhelming to work for prolonged hours in dense subject matters, so a max of 2-3 hr per daily session is only recommended for older (12+) extremely motivated students . We don’t want to send their brains into overload! Our goal is for them to enjoy and grow a passion for STEAM!
Note: we highly recommend enrollment in our yearly enrichment programs as working in a group setting and developing communication skills is critical to future success. The complex solutions of tomorrow will most certainly come from teamwork!
